We’re extremely lucky to welcome Jenny Valentine to the bookshop for our early March event to celebrate Word Book Day 2023.

Well-known locally, Jenny shot to fame when she won the Guardian children’s book award in 2007 for her debut novel Finding Violet Park.

Following on from A Girl Called Joy, Love From Joy is the second title in her new series aimed at readers aged 9+ years. The third (Planet Joy) was published last summer.

Jenny will talk about the books and their characters, as well as reading from them.

Jenny’s previous series (Iggy & Me) and her other titles are renowned for their original storylines and memorable family adventures that keep readers gripped. Jenny was Hay Festival International Fellow in 2017.
