Jasmine Donahaye's book Birdsplaining was short-listed for the Wales Book of the Year.

Philippa Holloway's The Half-life of Snails was long-listed for the RSL Ondaatje Award. Her first collection of stories Untethered is having its Wales launch at North Books.

Niall Griffiths is an award-winning writer and critic. He has won the Wales Book of the Year twice.

Author Philippa Holloway

Philippa Holloway is a writer and academic with a varied career history that includes being a goatherd, a medical technician at a racing circuit, and a library assistant. Her short fiction has been published internationally, and her debut novel, The Half-life of Snails was longlisted for the RSL Ondaatje prize for ‘a distinguished work evoking the spirit of place'.

Jasmine Donahaye is the author of six books, including Birdsplaining: A Natural History (2023), Losing Israel (2015) and The Greatest Need (2015). Her work has appeared in the Guardian and the New York Times, and on Radio 4. She is a Professor of Creative Writing at Swansea University, and is a Fellow of the Learned Society of Wales.

This should be a fun, lively event and we hope you can join us in hearing these three authors discuss their corresponding subject matter.
