Singer songwriter and author Jess Childs explores feelings explained in her new children’s books Ivy and the Mole

Jess was a journalist on The Hereford Times prior to turning her abilities towards writing and teaching in schools.

Ivy and the Mole is a gentle, age appropriate look at the concept of what self-esteem is at its most basic level. We talk about why it’s important to believe in ourselves and the kind of things we can do to help take care of ourselves emotionally. We talk about how this makes us feel and where we can go for help if we aren’t feeling very good about ourselves.’

It’s a pleasure to be able to include Jess in our Four O’Clock Friends repertoire where she will literally lay down her green carpet and enthral those lucky enough to join her.

Ivy and the Rock and Ivy and the Mole explore feelings that children might come across in their young lives and not fully understand; Jess helps to explore those new feelings.

Jess will bring her guitar with her and there may well be a mole (or at least a molehill).
